Televenture is an Oslo based Nordic Venture Capital firm and was established in 1993 by Rune Rinnan. During the period from 1993-2010, Televenture managed 8 Telenor Venture funds. In 2010, Televenture and our Technology Transfer Office (TTO) partners in Oslo, Bergen, and Trondheim, established Norsk Innovasjonskapital.
Today, Televenture manages 4 Norsk Innovasjonskapital funds (NIK I-IV) with a primary investment focus within Industrials, Software, Oil & Gas, Marine, and Consumer sectors. Televenture’s management team have both long venture capital and general industry experience both domestically and internationally, including a number of financial transactions such as stock exchange listings and M&As.
The team members hold diversified competence and experience from a broad range of business areas. Special competence areas include oil and gas, energy, IT and telecom. The team includes both entrepreneurs with proven success, previous senior business leaders and persons with significant international operational experience, including work in the US, and Asia the Middle-East.
Mr. Rinnan founded Televenture in 1993 and has top-level international and financial experience in telecom, IT, media and the Oil & Gas sector. From 1993 until 2010, Mr. Rinnan was the CEO and Managing Partner of several Telenor Venture funds. Prior to this, Mr. Rinnan was senior vice president and CFO of ABB Oil & Gas and ABB Signal. He holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics (siviløkonom), with a major in Finance from the Norwegian School of Management.
Mr. Slåttsveen joined Televenture in 2010 with a long international senior management background within the Oil & Gas and Process industries. Before joining Televenture Capital he was CFO of Wega Mining ASA and SVP/CFO of Aker Solution’s global subsea group located in Houston, USA. Mr. Slåttsveen holds a BS and a MBA in Finance and Management from California State University, Hayward, USA.
Mr. Sørum joined Televenture in 1998. Prior to joining Televenture, Mr. Sørum was a private investor and a senior adviser for European companies working in both Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Sørum has held several board positions in Norwegian investment companies. Mr. Sørum holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics (siviløkonom) from Copenhagen School of Economics and Business Administration. Mr. Sørum is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Oslo, Norway.
Mr. Nilsen joined Televenture in 2009. He was previously Investment Director at Kjeller Innovasjon AS and Technology Advisor for the Norwegian Trade Council in San Francisco. He has also been an affiliated researcher at the Stanford Research Institute Learning on Demand Program in California. Mr. Nilsen has master studies in Political Science and International Economics at the University of Oslo and holds a BA in ComputerScience and Cognitive Science from the same university. Mr. Nilsen is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Oslo, Norway.
Mr. Rian joined Televenture Management in 2009. He was the founder of SPT Group (former Scandpower Petroleum Technology) that was first sold to Altor Private Equity Partners in 2006 and later to Schlumberger Inc in 2012. He has extensive international experience and key competence within business development including marketing, sale, and organizational development, in addition to mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Rian holds a MSc. in Petroleum Technology from The Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim (1982). Mr. Rian is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Oslo, Norway.
Mrs. Pettersen joined Televenture in 2013 having worked for Scandinavian Airlines Systems (SAS) from 1990 until 2013. During this period she held various positions as cabin crew and the last 4 years as Air Purser (Chief in Cabin). In addition, Mrs. Pettersen worked in the SAS administration focusing on products and procedures. From 2008 to 2012 she recruited new cabin crew for SAS. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oslo and is a Norwegian citizen with residence in Oslo, Norway.
